Title: The Many-Worlds of Amelia Pond
Fandom: Doctor Who
Author: [livejournal.com profile] snowdarkred
Word Count: ~1.5K
Pairing: gen
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Seriously.
Rating/Warnings: PG-13, minor swearing, violence, and gore. Spoilers for pretty much everything.
Author's Note: The Many-Worlds Interpretation is one of my pet quantum theories: "Everett's Many-Worlds interpretation has implications beyond the quantum level. If an action has more than one possible outcome, then -- if Everett's theory is correct -- the universe splits when that action is taken. This holds true even when a person chooses not to take an action." [x]

Summary: There’s only so much about Amelia Pond that can be explained by a tear in time and space.

I remember it twice, different ways.
Amy Pond, “The Wedding of River Song”

I wish I could tell you that you'll be loved. That you'll be safe and cared for and protected. But this isn't the time for lies.
Amy Pond, “A Good Man Goes to War”

Amelia Pond hasn't lived here in a long time.
Amy Pond, “The Eleventh Hour”

How can I remember them if they never existed?
Amy Pond, “The Big Bang”

It's you. It's all about you. Everything. It's about you.
The Doctor, “Flesh and Stone”

The Many-Worlds of Amelia Pond

Amy Pond’s life never made sense. )

Leave me a prompt (for a fandom/show/book/whatever that I am actually familiar with) and I'll write a drabble! And if anyone wants to get in on the action too, well, the more the merrier!

Any pairing or non-pairing is fine; just be sensible about what I could write. We all know I'm wonderful, but I'm not that wonderful.  ;)

Arthur/Eames, Kurt/Blaine (?)

Title: Couch Therapy
Author: [livejournal.com profile] snowdarkred
Word Count:  500
Pairings: Stephanie Rogers/Antonia Stark (AKA I can't resist genderswap.)
Rating/Warnings: PG, swearing.
Author's Note:  I took a break from my Sherlock magic!AU and part two of the Iron Man/Cap America teen!AU to write this, because my brain needed a break. So here you go. 500 words of pre-femslashy fluff.

Summary: "I hate charity galas. Can't I just give the damn money without prostituting myself for the cameras?"

Couch Therapy

“Motherfucker,” Tony groaned as she collapsed on top of the couch. )

Title:  When the War Fires Fade
Author: [livejournal.com profile] snowdarkred
Word Count:  ~7000
Pairings: Gen; Sherlock/John pre-slash
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Seriously.
Rating/Warnings: PG-13, magic!AU, violence, swearing, vampires that don't sparkle and are actually supposed to be somewhat scary, gratuitous descriptions
Author's Note: I. Had. SO MUCH. Fun. Writing this. I can't even begin to tell you, seriously. Okay, Sunshine is my favorite book and is pretty much the only current book dealing with vampires that I can stand. So it was only a matter of time before I wrote a fusion/inspired/crossover/thingamabob using it as a backdrop. And guess what? I did! But I would like to assure you that no knowledge of said amazing book is necessary to reading this, since I pretty much just adapted some of the mythology to my own ends. Um. Yeah. Anywho, my thanks to [livejournal.com profile] anruiukimi and [livejournal.com profile] shanachie_quill  for their encouragement and comments. You rock!

ATTENTION: [livejournal.com profile] munchinglunch made a podfic of this for [livejournal.com profile] help_japan! You can download it here.

Summary: The Wars turned the world on its head, and in that unrivaled chaos, John Watson was born with a rare gift. Sherlock, naturally, was born with an even rarer one. Years after the Wars end and the Others return to their dark lairs, two men are introduced by a well-meaning mutual acquaintance. And their world is upturned yet again.

Magic is believing in yourself; if you can do that, you can make anything happen.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

That's the thing with magic. You've got to know it's still here, all around us, or it just stays invisible for you.
Charles de Lint

A world in which elves exist and magic works offers greater opportunities to digress and explore.
Terry Brooks

We must try not to sink beneath our anguish, Harry, but battle on.
Albus Dumbledore

The story is always better than your ability to write it.
Robin McKinley

When the War Fires Fade

He didn't hear them coming. But then you didn't, did you, when they were vampires. )

Title: Two men meet by chance
Author: [livejournal.com profile] snowdarkred
Word Count:  ~150
Pairings: Sherlock/John, but really gen.
Rating/Warnings: G. Non-standard rhyming scheme. Spoilers for The Great Game.
Author's Note: I don't know why I wrote this, I just did it. I haven't written poetry in ages, much less poem!fic. And for Sherlock? What the actual fuck! I am startled and confused by this turn of events. Especially since I am supposed to be working on that magic!AU or my Inception bigbang. :(

Two men meet by chance )

SHERLOCK AU FIC

God help me, I'm using Sunshine as a backdrop for this. Shhh, no one tell on me. Seriously.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

WTF SHOULD I DO WITH THIS???
snowdarkred: (sherlock: john: so many bills)
Okay, so yesterday sucked ass, and was shitty, and just quite frankly was full of all around fail. So I got off of work today and wrote this, which isn't particularly happy, but for some reason it makes me feel better? There's some kind of logic in that. Somewhere.

Author: [livejournal.com profile] snowdarkred
Word Count:  1.1K
Pairings: gen, none.
Rating/Warnings: PG-13, some swearing and suggestive language.
Author's Note: I wrote more Lie to Me fic when I should have been doing other things, like working on my Inception bigbang. Also, this is probably going to be Jossed when the next episode airs.

Summary: There are many parts that make up a man. Actions, reactions, past, present, future. There is history in every blink, a riddle in every flinch.

Universe:
modern AU
Rating/Warning:
PG-13, swearing and a side order of abuse
Word Count:
~3.5K
Beta:
shanachie_quill  gave this a quick glance over for me. Because she is awesome.

Author's Note:
This is actually intended to be the first of a series, but since it can stand alone, I thought I'd go ahead and post it. This fic? Was so goddamn fun. It was probably the most fun I've had writing something in ages. Seriously. I've been meaning to do a non-superheroes AU since forever, and this was what came together. It was a blast. Title is from The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, a poem written by Bonnie Parker, one half of the (in)famous duo.

And for visuals: this is teen!Tony and this is teen!Steve. Much thanks to anruiukimi  and shanachie_quill  for dealing with my flailing and obsessing about who should "play" each character, and even more thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shanachie_quill  who took my spelling to task. You guys rock!

Summary: It's a hard decision to make, but Steve can't let Tony go alone. He just can't.

some day they'll go down together

When Steve opens the door, the first thing he sees sends him into a swearing streak so wide and foul that his mother stops messing around with her flour in the kitchen and comes over to see what set him off. )

These are some of the incomplete stories sitting on my computer at the moment. I know where most of them are going, but not all, and I just feel like sharing the openings to a few of them to catch what you think. They're for a number of different fandoms; it's almost embarrassing how many I'm involved in. One day, I shall restrain myself. Maybe.

Author's Note: God, what is this i don't even. Ack. I swore I wasn't going to write any Lie to Me fic! I said, Self, you have too much to do. Don't go adding another fandom to it. And then this happened. Fuck my LIFE.
