I have tons of unfinished epics on my computer, so whenever I feel like a failure at finishing something, I open a word doc and type up a snippet to make myself feel accomplished :D

I think that a good fic touches you in some way (or any story). You may not be comfortable, but it doesn't have to be. I read, and reread, stories that I may not like, but they have a message or a meaning that I can't let go. It's like that with the Dollhouse AU someone did. It makes me uncomfortable, but in a way a can't let go. (And it's an amazing fic, on that is pointed and subtle at the same time. It makes a person THINK.)
