Fic snippet: Reaper!Bones

Title: Waking Up
Author: snowdarkred
 Rating/Warnings: G, none
Aithor's Note: Doom xover. This is just a tiny bite-sized fic to satisfy my muse, since I'm too busy with my other xover to do the Reaper!Bones concept justice. So I wrote an itty-bitty one instead.

Waking Up

Reaper woke up everyday in Leonard McCoy's bed.

No, wait, that wasn't right.

John Grimm woke up every morning in Leonard McCoy's bed.

That wasn't right either.

Leonard McCoy woke up every sunrise in Leonard McCoy's bed.

That wasn't it....

Bones woke up in Leonard McCoy's bed everyday at daybreak.

There.

He ignored the part of him that whispered that something was still off.

She did not wanna be old. She freaked out when she turned 18 and again when she turned 19. Considering this, and the fact that she always says 'me me me' --and the fact that Edward can't 'hear' her, which means she really is thoughtless-- I'd say that it sounds like she figured it out and decided that she really didn't want to grow up and be a real girl. Or something.

I've read vampire books where the herione basically says 'come and get me, big boy' after a short time, there is a reason for it. Not OMG TRU LURV, HURHUR. *facepalm*

LOL! I never thought about that! It makes perfect sense!

I always thought that all the author's attempts at making Bella look smart were just that, attempts. She never acted intelligently and all the focus on her 'great' literary mind were just there as window dressing. She read books that other people said were great and what was expected for a moody girl of that age. (Which, btw, I NEVER read at that age. Which is probably because I wasn't a moody teenage girl).

I like vampire books and I've read a lot of cheesy vampire romances but Twilight had the worst reasoning of them.

The things, I read (I am of similar age to Bella) but if I don't like a book, I don't care if it's one of the Classics, I don't care. It always felt like the author had looked the plot of the books up on sparknotes, rather than read them herself.

Also, it never seemed like the ever sat down and got to know each other before they got hitched (after which, they finally had sex, and apparently Edward is a 90 year old virgin). They knew each other for 2 years? What? That's little quick to decide that you want to spend ETERNITY with someone.

LOL She probably did. I thought they were cliched choices for a girl that was supposed to be a 'romantic' without any real insights on her character. (Or lack of it).

Of course he was a virgin. That way they were each other's first (I'm assuming). I was with my ex for 6 yrs before he finally proposed an I still was like "OMG!" when it happened. They never got to know each other. They were too busy stalking each other to do that.
