Lucky, SPN/STXI RPF, Pinto [2/2]

The thing shrieked in rage and lunged towards the men on the side of the road. Zach dragged Chris the rest of the way back, until they were out from under the wires and away from the thing. The thing got to the edge of the wires and then stopped, like it had slammed into a wall.

“Do not try it, demon,” a new voice intoned. The actors turned to stare at yet another man, who had appeared next to them in the space of a blink. It was like that trick were the camera turns and the actor has to scramble to get to their mark before it swings back around, except that this was real life and there were no cameras. He was wearing a trench coat. “I can and will fry you where you stand.”

“And then what about poor Annie?” the thing said. It sounded vaguely pleading. “You kill me, you kill her.”

“That's why we're going to exorcize your ass,” Dean Winchester said. He flipped open a ratty leather-bound notebook and began reciting something. The thing – demon? – screamed from inside the pentagram, almost drowning out his words, but the tall man in the shadows joined in and lent his voice. Chris kind of wanted to say it too, since it seemed to be hurting the not-woman, but he didn't know the words. It sounded Latin-y.

Suddenly, the demon threw back its head, and black smoke tore from its throat, reaching skywards. The man in the trench coat waved his hand, and the smoke...froze. Chris edged away from him, even though his eyes weren't black. He had had too many unpleasant surprises already tonight. With another wave, the black smoke was gone.

“Sorry 'bout that,” Dean Winchester said gruffly. “You guys alright?”

“Yeah,” Zach said shakily. “Yeah, we're fine. Our car isn't though.”

“Better than the alternative,” the man in the trench coat said stiffly. “Dean. Sam. Good-bye.” And then, just like that, he was gone.

“I hate it when he does that,” Dean complained. “Look, you guys hold on a second before you call someone to pick you up. We've gotta get these wires down first.”

“Whatever,” Chris said. He sat down, right there, in the middle of the road, and he dragged Zach down with him. They were still holding hands.

“I think we could have died tonight,” Zach whispered.

“I think we almost did,” Chris said. Neither of them let go of the other's hand.

I freaking love you *smush*. I bow before you and your insane ability to write stuff like this in like, what did that take you, 20 minutes?

Now I want more. Maybe now I should finish my Pinto/SPN crossover I started a year ago *facepalm*.
