The Day After Midwinter

I am writing this with a terrible headache. I had far too much wine last night, and it's made my head feal feel like it's full of bees. Angry, angry bees.

As I'm writing this, in bed, there is a man beside me. A very handsome, very roguish man. With whom I had...relations with last night (or was it this morn?), and who was possibly the last man in Tortall that I should have relations with. What was I thinking? Clearly, I wasn't.

I should start at the beginning:

I hadn't any plans for midwinter night. I had already made the trek up to my lord's house to trade gifts with my brothers and sisters. I had left with in a foul temper, which was far from unusual, and my only plans had been to feed the pigeons and lock myself in my rooms with my cat. Of course my friends found that unexceptionable, because they have no idea what boundaries are.

I was dragged across the lane to the Dancing Dove, entirely against my will, I might add. Once I was there – as well as most of my surviving Litter-mates and their significant others – Rosto seemed determined to get me thoroughly drunk.

He succeeded, of course, and with great amount of alcohol come a great lowering of expectations standards inhibitions.

But I can write no more now, because the great lug is stirring, and I'm going to give him a piece of my mind. And then I'm going to suggest we try again, because I didn't quite catch it the first time....

(But first I must let Pounce out, because I apparently did not give him a chance last night to escape from the rooms, and now he claims to be mentally scarred from the experience. I think he'll get over it.)

Ohhhh yea! Thank you, this was wonderful. I love that you kept it in the journal style. Of course her friends are going to drag her out :D really what did she expect :D
