Not so surprising news and an adorable picture of my dog! :D

1. Wow. I was kind of startled today when I realized how much I hated both my boss and my manager. One's racist; the other is sexist. *bangs head against the wall*

2. The epic multifandom prompt meme is still on going! Admittedly, I got sidetracked by family stuff - hey, consider what season it is - but I'm starting to make a dent on fills...which is why I want you to give me more! And not just The Losers stuff, either, although keep those coming! I'm talking about Inception and Glee and Star Trek XI and Brick and Supernatural and so on. :D

3. I bought some more hair dye. By this time tomorrow, I will once again be blonde. \o/

4. I have one more thing that I want to buy myself before I officially close my free-for-all-December budget. After the New Year's Eve, it's back to the old super strict no spending policy.

5. IT SNOWED IN GEORGIA, Y'ALL. IT SNOWED. ON CHRISTMAS DAY. And it was the first time in 127 YEARS that the county I live in has had snow on Christmas day. It was really super pretty, which brings me to my last Bullet Point of Life:

6. My dog. So, I know that a few of you were around way back when, when I posted those pics of my cute little puppy? The one that I could pick up and cuddle with because he was so small? Yeah. A year later, he's not so tiny any more:

White Dog, White Snow by ~snowdarkred on deviantART

HE IS THE CUTEST THING EVER. <3

ETA: Context for his size is something like this: I'm five foot two. His hip and my hip are almost even. When he raises his head, it's in line with my waist. He weighs about a 120 pounds and he's not. Done. Yet. D: He's still got another year or so of filling out to do. THAT'S how big my dog is. :3

I know! It snowed in Tennessee too! How awesome is that!

Eeeeeee! It's just so pretty; I love it! It's just so rare for us to really get snow (and right now anyone who lives in a Northern state is laughing at us/me, but whatev) which makes it that much better! But, sadly, all our snow here will be melted away in a few days. The only worry now is how bad the roads keep icing. :/

Dude, it looks like you guys got a ton more than us. Not fair!

Don't feel too bad. All the snow is pretty much gone. Apparently this is the first time it's snowed on Christmas here since the 60s. It'll probably never happen again in my lifetime. ;.;

[identity profile] snowdarkred.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
:( Considering it took a hundred and twenty-seven years for it to snow on Christmas here, I highly doubt that it will happen in my lifetime again. Ever. DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD: I hate winter but I love snow. ;_;

[identity profile] solarbaby614.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
I love snow too. I'm a bigger fan of winter than of summer though. I'm just not made for hot weather.

I used to live in the desert, and I love dry heat. I dunno why. But snow is awesome, even though I absolutely hate the cold.

I can warm up easier than I can cool down. Everyone in my house seems to be the opposite though. XD

he is just too fluffy and adorable for his own good!! ;) and yes, I remember the puppy pics you posted - and that seems like only yesterday ;) *hugs*

He weighs 120 pounds now. That's 22 more than I do. D: But he's so incredibly sweet. As long as you don't try to hurt me, of course, because then he'd rip your face off. (This is not an exaggeration.)

Gosh, time passes so quickly!

5. 127 years since it snowed on Christmas day?! O_o That's like ... I mean ... white Christmas? Was this your first real white Christmas? Poor, poor child.

6. Such a cutie! And big O_o I had to find an online converter for the height and weight measurements, and oh my ... BIG. (Though wyou an me are the same height!)

[identity profile] snowdarkred.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I've had a few White Christmases before, a long, long time ago when we lived in Arkansas, but none here in Georgia. The snow here, when it happens, is weird. I think our last snow storm happened in late February...? Or something. It usually misses Christmas (either too early or too late) by a month. And it didn't even snow that much! Just enough to cover the ground and make everyone here freak out.

When me and my dog both sit on the floor, he's taller than me. (He' much taller than me when he stands on his back legs.) He can put his head on top of mine. <3 He's by baby, tho, and everyone knows it. His paws are as big/bigger than my palms. :D

[identity profile] wordflake.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Good thing with living in Sweden is that chances are pretty high that it'll snow at Christmas (when it isn't raining). It isn't so fun though when the temperature drops to -20 C. Brrr.

He must be the best personal guard you can get! Effecient, big, loyal and cute ^^

[identity profile] snowdarkred.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
...I can't even imagine it being that cold. D: The coldest it's been here is -12 C (10 F). D: Not fun.

Whoever messes with me while I'm walking him...won't be able to walk away. This is fact. NGL, people cross the street to avoid us a lot. He's sweet, but really intimidating to people who don't know him.

Duke Leto Fuzzypants by ~snowdarkred on deviantART

I know the angle is bad, but those wood planks are about three inches across. This was taken in July; he's grown a bit since then.

[identity profile] wordflake.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Look at that puppy face! And those eyes ... I'm actually more of a cat-person (lazy and egoistical cats fit my personally quite well), but it's impossible to resist the Eyes.

Duke Leto Fuzzypants? :D

Dpesn't it get a bit tiring when you have to call for your cat and have to shout The Cake Is A Lie, Caesar, The Cake Is A Lie, Caesar? Where are you The Cake Is A Lie, Caesar? Come here ...? :S

[identity profile] snowdarkred.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL, just like with Leto, we shorten it. We just call him Caesar, or, more often, The Cat.
