once a demon, always a devil
armed only with a small sharp smirk
he rides the current of politics
scenting for blood in the water
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
he walks alone down the hallways
always going at a quick pace
he takes big strides as if he owns it
and he does, is the thing
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
he cuts through laws as if they were red tape
he does just as he pleases
he brings grown men to their knees
and makes the steel ladies weep
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
once they raised a flag over his head
his nickname is death
they speak it hush tones
some call him war but only the fools
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
he stands behind the king
hanging his head to hide his smile
he’s pulling the strings like always
he mouths the words in time to the speech
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
just as the sun sets on another day
he takes a stroll through the capitol
the people are quiet, terribly quiet
and death lets himself grow bored
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
death calls himself death even though that’s a lie
he is war running from himself
he hides behind pretty words while he scents the water
he’s looking for blood
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
armed only with a small sharp smirk
he rides the current of politics
scenting for blood in the water
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
he walks alone down the hallways
always going at a quick pace
he takes big strides as if he owns it
and he does, is the thing
he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
he’s a shark in the water
he cuts through laws as if they were red tape

he’s a shark, he’s a shark,
