You tether me to this world
You plant my feet upon this earth
Without you, I'd be gone

I've never known a home,
Never had something to call my own
But with you I know I'm not alone

I hear your laugh on the wind
I feel your smile in every kiss
You take my hand and I feel it in my bones

You grabbed me tight and never let go
You held me close, don't let go
I'd be lost, never home
Just grip me tight and don't ever
Don't ever let me go

You tether me to this world
You plant my feet upon this earth
Without you, I'd be gone
Without you, I'd be alone
