Busy busy busy

The past few days have been crazy-ish. I've been trying to get my school junk together, and today I finally got (most of) it worked out. CTech got my transcripts - all of them, this time - and I'm registered for classes on the campus by my house. Now there's only the small matter of paying for them. Technically speaking, I could pay for it all out of pocket from what money I've managed to save - the first semester, anyway - but I don't want to for obvious reasons. I've got a grant, but there's some doubt as to how much that's going to cover and blah blah blah.

I've also set up plans to stay at my old house cousin's for a week or so, which will severly limit my internet time. But, I am working on my fic for losers_minibang , it's just turned out...plotty and stuff. My brain is incapable of not world building. Now the Losers takes place just two hundred years after Lyra Silvertongue directly causes the downfall of the M-whatever their name was. I'm too lazy to go look up what they called themselves at the moment. And Max is trying to resurrect their research into Dust. Which is a Bad Thing.

anruiukimi  and I are in preliminary negotiations as to whether or not I should come visit her in Japan this coming spring. A large part of it rests upon whether I can find the necessary funds. Sadly, I live the life of a poor college student who has to save as much money as possible for school and shit. And food. Because I need to eat at least semi-regularly.

Other than that...I'm not doing much. Each day another friend of mine ships off to college, leaving me, well, not alone, but at least with one less person within walking distance. ravenclaw_wench  is not only leaving, her parents are moving. ;_; Cruel, cruel world.

Also, it's storming here. And I am tired, because dealing with uni stuff always leaves me exhausted and worn out. :/

Also, there's apparently a lot of planning that supposed to go into leaving the country legally. Hmmph.

No, not really. You'll need a copy of your birth certificate to get your passport, but that's about it, I believe (It's been a few years XD.) Otherwise, as an US citizen, you don't have to apply for a visa ahead of time to travel to Japan or a decent sized list of other countries...you are cleared on landing. :)

Yeah, but for me there's money, school, work, Dealing With My Mother, and so on. ^^ So, more personal planning than gov regs or anything.

But, on another note, getting anything official based off of my birth certificate is always complicated because I don't have one; I have some weird card thing that the hospital in Arkansas roped my mom into getting instead, and while it's supposed to be just as accepted, most people have never seen one before. <.< Going to the DMV is usually very...exciting. *headdesk*

Oooo, the dreaded Dealing With Mother. XD; I admit I tend to do alright on that front, but I have had moments over the years.


Hmmmm...I know there's other things the feds will take, I'll look them up for you. :) There are times that standardization in paperwork WOULD be handy, yes? xD;
