1. My thanks to everyone who offered their support the other day. I'll reply to you individually when I find the time. I love you all.

2. The funeral was yesterday. I held it together pretty well, right up until the end when we all stood up and sang our farewell with "You are my Sunshine," which my mother used to sing to me when I was little. I bawled like a baby, but it was good, you know, to get it out.

3. I haven't written anything in a week. It feels weird. I have so much to do, but just can't...bring myself to do it. I'll start up again soon, but for now, I'm just going to listen to the Glee soundtrack on repeat. :/

4. Later this week, I'm getting in a car with my mom and driving to Arkansas to see the other side of my family for the first time in a long time. I still haven't met my new baby cousins, and I apparently need to smack my coustwin over the head for his latest bout of stupidity - I can't believe I shared a crib with someone who pulls such moronic stunts - so that'll be fun. And by fun, I mean "like having my teeth pulled all at once" with extra bonus of crazy religious people! :D

5. I work with some of the sweetest people on the planet. I told Steven I needed a hug, and he didn't even hesitate to give me one. Then he convinced one of the tables he was serving to buy him dinner, and then he kidnapped me to the back so that he could force me to eat half the very expensive sushi thing he ordered with said customer's money. <3 (And it was very, very good.)

Aw I am glad it went okay. Let me know if you need anything (Still!) I'm in a change of location, but I still have internet, etc.

And I'll be traveling by you next week...I shall wave as I go by :-) since it sounds like you won't be home.

I started a new Shifter verse last night...and I'm going to make a list of what I need to write, what to write, and plan to write later tonight...so I have ideas...and maybe an actual like...plan.

Thank you. *hugs* I'll have time to chat tomorrow, probably, after I get my haircut (and a whole other stream of stuff that needs doing that I've been putting off) so we can catch up. :3

Aw. :( Sucks that we can't manage to be in the same place at the same time.

Also, I just got your card! Like, literally, the mail lady is going rounds in our neighborhood...at nine o'clock at night, apparently... and I got your card! :D LOL @ you calling me Ms. Ava. :P Thank you! You're right; one day I will resemble an adult. ;)

*nods* Tomorrow is house cleaning day (apparently every Tuesday is...so I have my orders and I am not allowed to skimp because she checks) but I am not going to mind...I'm trying hard to keep her happy. But yes hopefully we'll be able to catch up.

I wouldn't be able to stop anyway since I'll be with the moms and the brats. We're going to Columbus for Christmas...heading down on the 23rd and back around the 31st I believe...as far as I know we're driving straight through both ways. I don't even get to see my cousin and her husband that live in Cummings.

Um, why is your mail lady going around at 9pm? But anyway...awesome! I love that you got it! Of course you're Ms. Ava! Well lord knows according to my family I only resemble an adult...I'm not actually one.

Today is apparently laundry day. And haircut day. And go wait for an hour at the DMV day. Fun times.

One of my friends lives in Columbus. :) Also, I'm heading to AR on the 16 and coming back on the 19. Ouch on the driving, for both of us.

Our mail is really erratic. I mean, sometimes it comes really early in the morning, and other times it comes as I get off of the evening shift at work. :D

*snorts* Did you have FUN? /sarcasm

Why did you need to go to the DMV? I mean I know why I had to go the other day...but why did you have to go?

*makes grabby hands* Come visit your friend and SAVE ME! LOL yeah...I need to like find out when we're leaving and everything so I can tell my aunt. And figure out how to pack when some things are at my gramma's and some are at my house. I think we're leaving on the 23rd and coming home on the 31st.

That is just...bizarre. Anyway...we'll attempt to catch up at some point. Try to survive your trip!

I needed to renew my learner's permit. I hate driving so much. :( My goal in life: Either move to a city with a fucking metro system or become rich and hire a personal driver/car service.

I hate the DMV. I mean, I think I'm permanently scarred from that time me and Mom when there and the guy behind the desk basically refused to do his job because apparently the fact that I have a different last name than my mom morally offended him. I am not even kidding. He demanded that my mom produce official papers from her divorce with my dad and her marriage certificate for her and the Step-dad, because the fact that my name doesn't match hers apparently warrants airport security questioning...in order for me to get a learner's ID. >:| *headdesk*

Actually, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be in Rome on those days. :/ Ack, my stupid spread out family. LOL.

Hopefully I'll be able to survive. Hopefully.

Oh man...my aunt? So scarred by her DMV/permit experience that she's like 60 and has never driven.

Seriously? Holy fuck! Man and I thought it was bad having to explain to teachers that yes, that really IS my mom even though we have different names and yes she really can take me home. Goddess and I also don't look anything LIKE my mom.

Awww, yeah well like I said...it's not like I would have been allowed to like stop and see you. *sighs* It looks like I won't be able to see a friend of mine next week because between her schedule and my schedule...we've got no time in common.

Aww I hope so. I'd hate to lose you. *hugs*

::hugs:: I think I may have missed commenting on the previous post, but I hope you are feeling better. :( It's always sad when a family member departs, no matter how close you are to them. ::hugs::

As for the later comment...you mean he got ALL his teeth pulled out? Or am I missing something? O_o

I am feeling better, thanks. *hugs* Nanny was an amazing person. :(

Well, no, I mean that's about as much fun as I'm going to have when I'm with the crazy religious side of the family. :/ Actually, my coustwin is being an idiot because he wants to get married.

He's the only boy I have ever met who has been obsessed with getting married since forever. I mean, when he was five and people asked what he was going to grow up to be, he'd answer "married". Which is fine and all, except that he's only three months older than me, and the girl he's with is younger, and it's just a disaster waiting to happen especially since his mom's on her fourth husband and his sister is on her second. (She, by the way, is twenty-one. She has two kids.) So you can see why this is going to be so much fun.

I know I bitch a lot about them, but I do love them all. They're just...very trying to be around for long periods of time.

Ahh, young marriage. It occasionally works out well, but the averages are definitely stacked against them. Most of the just-after-HS crowd I know who got hitched are divorced now...my friend's brother got married at 19 and he's still hitched at 29/30, but he's the exception. xD;

Sounds like he's not got the best examples with the family. ^^;

Good luck with your visit <3 Patience and deep calming breaths. ;)

*shakes head* This marriage thing is on top of the fact that he's dropped out of college, despite being really smart, so that he can wait around for a few years until he reaches the age requirement on being a fireman. Which, I mean, great, be a fireman, but he doesn't have a job, and he isn't going to school, and now he wants to get married. :/ I just don't see this ending well.

I will be taking many, many calming breathes. I will need them.

2. I get what you mean. When we had the funeral for my grandfather the priest was an old friend of his, so instead of all the usual "He was a great man"-talk he told us about the relatinship between him and my grandfather and how awesome he had thought my grandfather was. It was really touching, and felt so right.

5. Naaw, he seems like a very sweet guy! More general friendliness to the world :D

Yeah, Steven is pretty awesome. :) Brad, the bartender, is also awesome, since he lets me steal his jacket when it gets cold and he sneaks me food from behind the bar. :D Most of the people who work there rock. Too bad that the management is full of assholes.... :/
