So, this is my second "serious" fanvid effort, and I'm not sure that I liked how it turned out. The evolution of this vid was actually pretty interesting, because I started it as a Blaine-centric vid - and I still want to do one once I find the right song - but while I was cutting out clips, it just sort of...changed. And let's face it, Chris Colfer is a master of the quiet I'm-about-to-break-into-a-million-pieces face.

I had this huge explanation for why I like the song, etc, but I realized that I was probably going into far too much detail when I whipped out my Oxford Annotated so that I could pull quotes, so. Yeah. I'm not going to bore you to death. Let's just say that I like this song because symbolism is sexy.

Well, I could go into the deep, philosophical reasons why I liked the video but let's get real -- four and half minutes of Chris Colfer?! Throughout Glee, in all his emotional states, in all his different fashionista outfits, facing down bullies, facing homophobic soon-to-be stepbrothers, meeting new loves, bonding with his new stepbrother by getting up to go to the dance-floor, in various stages of his relationship with Mercedes, in various stages of his relationship with Blaine, in various stages of his relationship with his dad, at his mother's funeral, at Pav's funeral, at his father's hospital bed, during the Klaine kiss...

I think I memorized the video...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! (Of course, I'm wondering what you would have had to have done to have made me DISLIKE a four and half minute video of CC but your editing was smooth, your scenes matched the haunting music, and they flowed together well so I'm just being facetious...)

Thank god Kurt found Blaine at the end, cuz the rest of the vid was freaking epic in its sadness. But it's interesting, this vid highlighted how strong Kurt is. He was the one to confront Karofsky, and the one to push him away from Blaine. I'm glad he's toughed it out, and got rewarded so beautifully. Your song choice was positively inspired. I love that whole album, but had never really listened to the lyrics so closely before. Awesome job.

My favorite thing about Kurt is his strength, so I am super-duper glad that it showed in the vid. There are so many scenes where he's just so sad, you know? And NGL, Thistle & Weeds is my favorite Mumford & Sons song. :3

thank you so much for this because well, Mumford and sons and Klaine? amazing. I love this song, And I'm so glad you used it, it really fits in the way you portrayed Kurt. and I loved the voice overs you used. you picked the right ones, and it just...guh. worked so well with the music.
