Wow. And I guess that says something when you have NCIS that was supposedly tiring navigation. Not to mention your other few that you had more issues with.. Where you ever in Torchwood? Though I think that was more a specific Ianto vs Gwen thing going on.
Fandom is tricky business to deal with at times. :/
I am quite glad that I'm only on the edge (and some days not even) of the Glee fandom.
Don't even get me started on the inanity of Glee fandom. Don't even. There are certain people who are just--ugh. jfkdlajfdla;fjkal;aada They just don't seem to understand why anyone would have a problem with a certain character, and to post anything even vaguely negative about that character, even on your own fucking blog, is an attack...even though I did nothing but restate some of what he's done in canon.
It all veers too close to rape apologist bullshit for my tastes, and more of the defense points make me what to scream in frustration.
That's horrible you're having to put up with that. Even on your own blog where you are hardly attacking someone/character.
*makes sure bucket is an endless re-filling supply of cookies in similar fashion to The Magic Pudding and our old TimTamads* (I think the first Cate Blanchett one is one I had never seen before, unlike the other two.)
Bullshit is going on. Stressful, unnecessary bullshit.
Let me just say it now, loud and proud: I. Do not. Like. Karofsky. I will never like him, no matter what direction his redemption story goes in. I cannot, and will not, forget about his actions, his violence against his fellow students, or anything else. I cannot. I don't hate those who do, although I do admit, I wonder about them. But no one should expect me, or anyone else, to like him just because he's a poor, sad, confused little boy who's lashing out to hide his sexuality. Or whatever they're saying.
And you know, I don't even post about him, like, at all. (All of this is on tumblr.) The last time I did was around Christmas. I don't like him; why would I want him on my blog? I let the people who like them go about their day without harassment. But I post one little thing about another character's reaction to him, and my blog post is being ripped apart as "hateful".
Bleh. Blehblehbleh - this is too much drama. Fandom, man. Serious business.
