Rough draft for Bones/Jim stetch

I've started planning a Bones/Jim drawing. This is the rough draft/outline pic.

Right, so I don't have time to scan this right now, and it's only a rough draft for the planned pic, but.... This is a Bones/Jim pic where they're both shirtless. I haven't drawn anything in AGES and AGES so it took a while to figure out what the idea was trying to say to me. Also, Jim's hair is stupid, but I like McCoy in profile. This was taken on the crappy webcam on my computer, thus explaining the weird shadows.

You can see all of the erase marks I made trying to lay out this sketch. You can see the corner of a bigger Jim sketch I started while I was trying to get his spiky and annoying hair to cooperate with me. And if you look closely, you can see the stick figure base that I drew to get the forms/anatomy right--well, mostly right.
I have to say, though, I like how Bones' hair turned out. His always cooperates with me; Jim's hair is a bitch.

Jim's hair is stupidly hard to draw, seriously, since technically Chris Pine parts it the other way to the left, but I just couldn't get it to cooperate. So I gave up.
I was originally going to have Jim reaching around Bones and holding an apple in front of his face, but Jim wanted to feel Bones up instead. Somehow, that is not surprising.

"Bones' hips don't lie."
The writing at the corner is the beginnings of "Bones' hips don't lie." Because, seriously, they don't!! Also, I apparently completely forgot how to draw hands, because the Jim's fingers are a little too short, and Bones' right hand got erased and redrawn five times becauseI suck he just didn't want to do it..
And, here's some more close ups of it:

So, yeah, this is kinda crappy, but I'm giving myself leeway do to the fact that I haven't drawn anything in almost a year. The basic pose is from this.
